The Chesed Havurah is a spiritual and cultural community for progressive and leftist self-identified Jews and their loved ones. Chesed was formed out of a desire for Jewish community that centers loving-kindess and the belief that all of our liberations are bound up together.

Educational Programming

We offer a weekly gan/heyder (learning community) for children ages 2-8. We also run adult educational programming on various topics including Jewish history, Jewish ritual practice, antisemitism, anti-racism, and more!

Events & Ritual

We are a pluralistic community that welcomes everyone from secular and cultural to traditionally observant Jews. We host regular Shabbat and holiday celebrations. Stay tuned for a calendar coming in 2026!

Activism & Solidarity

We came together out of our shared belief in Palestinian liberation. We believe in collective liberation of all peoples. We work in solidarity against all forms of hatred and are invested in mutual aid. See our values statement for a more comprehensive overview.
